Tips on Making Money with Google AdWords

May 15th, 2007 · No Comments

Well, to make money with Google’s Adwords, there are some basic, elemental steps that you can take to maximize your money-making probabilities.

To begin, have some very specific objectives in mind for your marketing campaigns. With these in mind, you can use Adwords strategically in order to track your ads’ performances and maximize the effects of your modifications so that you are saying things in exactly the way they need to be said in order to be effective and drive traffic to your site. Know if you are going for more clickthroughs, more stickiness at your website, or improving your ROI. Once you have ascertained this, you can refine and adjust your ads and websites accordingly.

When it comes to your actual account, you can be making more money with Google AdWords if you do a few things correctly. Make your campaigns organized by topic, so that your advertising is more easily tracked and more focused. Target locations that are good sources for providing your target market segment. Once you have targets and topics in order, create ads that are highly specialized in appeal to those. And, try to avoid having duplicate keywords that cut across the different segments. Make each segment as unique as possible and make the keywords reflect this quality.

When choosing those aforementioned keywords, be sure to choose very carefully. Very specific keywords need to be chosen that are in direct relation to your landing page’s and ad group’s specific theme. Write variations on the theme, too, and use both singular and plural keywords to sound real and dynamic. And use one-of-a-kind URL keywords to direct visitors straight to the most relevant splashpage that is featuring your ad. Choose your sites with great care as well, making sure that they are all relevant to the services and products that you are selling.
